There has been a lot of talk that the multi-billion dollar movie Avatar was a stolen idea. Ten years ago Poul Anderson sent out his movie idea Call Me Joe to various studios. One studio happening to be the one James Cameron was at. With no response from any studios. Time progressed and out came Avatar. Anderson noticed the remarkable resemblance when the previews hit. When the film was released, Anderson watched in aw that his movie idea had been created. Enraged he took Cameron to court and the results of outcome are still unknown by public.
Ooo, interesting. I wonder how much trouble James Cameron would get in if he really did steal the idea.

ReplyDeleteHe'll get a cut of all the money made from Avatar if he wins the lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteAvatar has a lot of scenes that were taken from other movies like the scene where Jake jumps off the waterfall is identical to the one from Mel Gibson Apocalypto
